Some rough and ready instructions on how to install multiple firefox versions on one machine which I found online.

This enables testing in multiple firefox versions. Install firefox 2 Choose custom Both optional components to be installed Change destination folder to c:\program files\mozilla firefox2.0.0.17

Proceeed through installation When installed Run "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox2.0.0.17\firefox.exe" –p

and create a profile called ff2 and another one called ff3

Delete the firefox shortcut from the desktop Create a batch file on the desktop called startff2.bat containing the following:

set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 start "" "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox2.0.0.17\firefox.exe" -p "ff2" set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=0

Install firefox3 Chose custom(uncheck use firefox as my default web browser at the bottom)

Change the location of the install to be C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox3.0.0.1 Delete the desktop icon Create a batch file on the desktop called startff3.bat containing the following:

set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 start "" "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox3.0.0.1\firefox.exe" -p "ff3" set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=0

Ensure that both versions of firefox are not checking for updates(in the advanced tab) These batch files will need to be copied onto the users desktop.
